Imagine if there’s another big economic fallout in the next 2-3 years.
Thousands of people will lose their jobs and we’ll likely enter a recession.
You can either arrive at that moment knowing your family will be mostly unaffected…
Or risk ending up like thousands of other American families sadly will – scrambling to get their bills paid and keep food on the table.
Again, I’m not here to spread fear!
It’s just that if there’s one positive lesson we can take away from the pandemic…
It’s that we need to be prepared for the unexpected.
So even if you’re pressed for time, or a bit strapped on cash…
(The things we usually use as excuses to stay ‘comfortable’ where we are…)

Starting a Christian home business opportunity…the what if’s
The Kingdom of darkness tries to influence our lives just as much as the Kingdom of God.
How?
Through all sorts of negative thoughts, feelings and emotions, like…
Hatred, Fear, Chaos, Rage, Condescension, Vengeance, Unforgiveness.
Now, in the theme of business and Digital Storefronts…
Fear is probably the BIGGEST roadblock we face.
And I get it, I’ve been there…6 years ago I hit my low point in life.
I had just stepped out of full-time youth ministry, the work I did for 17 years…
Had practically nothing in savings, nothing in retirement.
And the clock was ticking to find a new way to provide for my family.
I felt called to the marketplace.
Called to put my talents by starting a Christian home business opportunity
And I felt that it would be the perfect way to buy back my time.
To be free to serve wherever, and whenever I could…
Without having to accept money from the church in return.
But the problem was…
Everytime I went to start something new…
I’d get overwhelmed with questions like…
What will people think about me?
Do I really have what it takes?
What happens if I get it all wrong?
Is now really the right time to be starting a Christian business?
And especially with my family to think about…
My biggest fear was wondering what would happen if my failures put them in a bind.
Now, I’m far from the only person who deals with this.
Actually I’m pretty sure it happens to all of us when we start something new!
We drown in “what if” questions.
And they hold us back from ever making any progress.
So if you can relate to that…
Here’s what I challenge you to ask yourself:
What if instead… everything went right?
What if everything worked out exactly the way you wanted it to?
Trust me, I know all too well that can be hard to imagine…
But the truth is we have NO idea what’s really on the other side!
I’ll be the first to admit I had no clue what I was doing when I first got started.
I moved from one thing to the next.
It felt like an endless cycle of one step forward, two steps backwards.
So by definition, you could say I “failed” several times.
But here’s the thing.
Once I simply got moving…
I no longer felt like I was “failing”.
And I realized that every step we take, even ones that don’t necessarily work out…
All lead us towards figuring out what does work.
And with that mindset…
You realize you got nothing to lose 🙂
This Christian home business opportunity becomes a chance to learn and move one small step forward.
And while there’s no glamor in making “small” steps…
They always seem to add up faster than we would’ve thought.
And before you know it…
You can stop for a second, turn around, and see how far you’ve come.
So, think about it for a second…
What could you do TODAY to make that one small next step forward?
Take 2-3 minutes to think about it before getting back to the rest of your day…
Are you living with the brakes on?
I’ve shared this story before but it’s too good to not share again!
The other day I was driving down I-20…
I pulled up behind this guy who’s trailer had all sorts of nasty smoke pouring out the back of it.
I really thought the thing was about to catch fire!
So I got out and helped him take a look.
The driver just thought he was struggling because of the load he was carrying.
But it turns out…
His brakes were completely locked up and he had no idea!
Now, this might sound strange, but hear me out:
The very first thing I thought of once I got back in my truck…
Was that this is EXACTLY how most people operate when it comes to business.
Or achieving any kind of big goal they have in life.
They put their own “brakes” on without even realizing it.
Getting completely caught up in negative things like fear, anxiety, doubt, trust, or simply not believing in themselves.
A lot of the time we make awful decisions as a way to self-sabotage.
But here’s the thing..
We ALL have the ability to go fast!
There’s nothing that makes you less capable than me or any of our other DSF students.
But sometimes we need to pause, pull over to the side of the road and take a serious look at our life.
And fix our brakes.
This truck driver was prepared to go the whole I-20 stretch with his brakes on…
Just because he thought his problem was one thing.
A quick pause to look over his situation made the rest of his journey a LOT easier.
So…
Broken relationships?
Bad financial decisions?
Failed business attempts?
Whatever it might be…
These things do not mean you can’t succeed on the path you’re on now.
You don’t have to keep living with the brakes on!
And if things feel harder than they should be…
Chances are there’s a reason why.
