God’s plan for your life is greater than you could ever imagine…
You can live a life that is fulfilling and purposeful.
God has an awesome plan for your life that makes what you want to do possible.
As a kingdom entrepreneur, you are able to use the power of business to share the gospel and bless people in ways they never imagined. .
However, I want you to think about this quote I came across recently…
“You can’t be who God is calling you to be AND hold onto the same habits and relationships. Growth requires pruning; trust Him and the garden of your life will flourish.”
We ALL have different beliefs and ideas we tell ourselves.
About the world, about our communities…
And most importantly – about ourselves.
We tell ourselves we’re not capable.
That we’re not “cut out” for it.
Or that we don’t know the first thing about business or marketing.
This holds true for plenty of small things too!
We tell ourselves we “don’t have the time”.
Or that today we’re “too tired”.
But if we want to be successful…
If we want to build something GREATER than ourselves…
And if we want to be who God is calling us to be…
We must throw out these old beliefs and habits.
Because it’s impossible to grow and make progress…
To fulfill God’s plan for your life…
If you’re still holding on to the “old” you – who’s probably got a ton of beliefs and bad habits that’re holding you back!
And I say this from experience, both as a business owner and a coach.
I had TONS of “head trash” I had to deal with while building my business.
And for my students, it’s only when they finally overcome their own personal “head trash”…
That their biz takes off and they NEVER look back!
2 Lies That Hinder God’s Plan For Your Life
This might not be total news to you…
But when it comes to starting a business or learning a new skillset…
There are usually 2 objections that everyone makes:
“I don’t have the money.”
Or…
“I don’t have the time.”
But the thing is…
In 99% of cases those are merely excuses.
Now, obviously there are exceptions.
If it’s between paying rent and starting a business…
No one should be shaming you for saying ‘no’ in those kinda circumstances.
But there are a whole lotta people out there who have the time, and have the money…
And are simply looking for excuses to not try something new!
Here’s what that one member of our Facebook group shared:
Man, how true is all that!
I’m definitely guilty of a ton of things like this myself.
And the reality is we probably all are.
So point is…
Next time you’re thinking about how you don’t have the time or don’t have the money…
Take a second to think about where your priorities are.
We’ve usually already been blessed with the resources we need to follow our callings and make a greater impact…
God’s plan for your life is POSSIBLE!
But it’s a matter of shifting those resources from the things we’re comfortable with now…
To trying something new — even if it seems scary at first!
Plus from my own experience, breaking out of those excuses is always hardest at first.
After that, it only gets easier.
Which brings me to the next thing I want to talk to you about…
Why Become a Kingdom Entrepreneur?
One of the questions I always ask those who’re interested in Digital Storefronts…
Or those who say they want to start a business or other venture in general…
What’s your WHY?
What’s really pushing you forward behind the scenes?
Having a strong WHY can be the best motivator in the world.
It keeps you on course.
Stops you from getting distracted.
And when those moments of doubt creep in…
Those moments when you ask yourself…
“Wait a sec… what the heck am I even doing all this work for??”
You can take a step back and remember…
“Oh, right! THAT’S why.”
Maybe this “why” is that you want to provide more for your family.
Or if you’re like me, it’s all about freedom.
To have a life where I can pack up the RV, hit the road, and serve wherever I can.
For many others, it’s that they simply want to share their gifts with others…
And be a source of positivity in today’s crazy works.
There’s tons of amazing “whys”!
And none are better than any other.
It’s totally different from person to person.
But what I do recommend to anyone who’s on the fence about starting a business.
Or doing something different, or outside the norm in general.
Is to make sure that reason “why” is true and honest.
See, those who start a business simply because they want the money.
Or only because they want the followers and the fame…
They don’t have a real answer when things get tough.
And things always get tough.
So they quit.
Or even worse…
They hop from one thing to the next, looking for magic bullet solutions.
Because they’re not sure WHY they’re even looking for more in the first place.
They don’t know what it is they’re actually after.
And this is our superpower in being Kingdom Entrepreneurs!
We have a greater purpose to think about.
And it helps keep our businesses moving in the right directions.
This is why I believe Kingdom Entrepreneurs often succeed, where so many others struggle.
(Not that any of this is easy – far from it!)
It’s just that when there’s a true “reason why” behind your actions.
Be that leaving a legacy for your children..
Living the “laptop lifestyle” and getting to do the things you love..
Having the means to spread the wealth and help those in need..
Or seeking God’s plan for your life…
Things like this are powerful! And give you a way to move through the tough moments.
Whereas the people who are only in it for the money, the cars or the clothes…
Well, when they realize it takes some serious work just to get a few flashy objects?
They lose motivation and quit just as fast as they started.
Now, a lotta people out there might argue that business is “evil”.
Or that it’s not right for Christians to earn “profits” from a business.
But I think that couldn’t be further from the truth!
Here’s one way to look at it:
Where do you think a million dollars would best be placed?
In the hands of one of us – where we could use those resources not just to improve our own lives, but also make a HUGE impact on the Kingdom?
Or in the hands of someone who’d take that money and hoard it for themselves…
Never doing anything to help anyone else at all?
Again, let me be clear..
Starting a business ain’t easy.
And neither is learning any form of highly valuable skillset.
But for us, we can remember that all our actions serve a higher purpose..
And suddenly a lot of those challenges and roadblocks that seemed huge to us at first…
End up being pretty small when we look at it from the bigger picture.
So I definitely recommend you spend a little time getting clear on your “why”!
It might sound simple, but it makes a huge difference.
If you already know your reason “why”…
I also recommend you write it down!
That way it’s always there as a reminder, and to help guide your path forward. And this is our superpower in being Kingdom Entrepreneurs!
We have a greater purpose to think about.
And it helps keep our businesses moving in the right directions.
