Hey there.
Just a little friendly advice for you today 🙂
It’s something that took me a long time to learn on my own.
But now that I remind myself to do this one little thing every couple months…
It’s made a huge impact on my work, my business and my life in general.
So, what is this one little thing?
Take a moment to stop, turn around, and see how far you’ve come!
Ok I know, maybe that sounds a little too simple, but hear me out.
In life in general, especially these days…
Everyone is constantly on the run.
Pursuing that next business deal.
Or chasing after that next promotion.
Whatever it might be…
So many of us work and work and work.
But even after all that work, we often feel like we still haven’t gotten anywhere!
Why?
Because we make the mistake of only looking forwards.
And when you only look forwards…
You lose track of all your progress.
All the little steps you’ve made along the way.
They all get forgotten…
Because already we got our sights set on the next big target.
That’s why maybe once a month, or once every other month…
(However often works for you!)
Take a second to pause, look around, and reflect on how things have been going.
Sometimes you’ll be amazed to find it’s like you’ve come miles from where you started out!
And sometimes it might feel like you’ve only managed to take a few small steps.
But you know what?
That’s ok too 🙂
Because small, yet consistent steps…
Beat out a couple random big ones every single time.
Anyways, the point is…
Don’t get caught up in always moving forward.
I’m not saying that you do…
But it’s just something that can easily happen to any of us!
Myself included.
Plus, taking time to look back and reflect allows us to be more honest with ourselves.
It gives us a way to see where we’re struggling, and where we’re doing great.
This way we can tweak things and make sure we’re headed in the right direction!
Ok, that’s all I got for you today.

Taking even just a quick 5 minutes every now and then to reflect will make a big difference, trust me 🙂
