Whenever I meet someone who’s on the fence about DSF…
(Or even just starting a business, or trying something new in general)
Something I hear almost all the time is, “I need to pray on it”.
Which of course, is not a bad thing!
In fact, it’s a great thing 🙂
You should pray on life’s big decisions.
There’s a lot of people who only turn to Him for help when they’re stuck.
Or when they feel like they need an easy way out of some sort of problem.
So if you’re the type of person who turns to Him in advance…
If you ask me, that’s an amazing way to live.
But here’s what I also believe at the same time:
You can ask Him for help and guidance as much as you want…
But at the end of the day, He’s not going to make decisions for you!
I’ve seen this happen hundreds of times by now over the years.
And it’s even happened to me too!
Sometimes it’s like we’re waiting for that “struck by lightning” type of moment…
Where all the lights turn green, and we can finally move forward.
The truth is though, my friend.. Those kinds of moments don’t exist!
See, He might lead us straight to the best opportunity of our lives.
Maybe that’s a new job.
A business opportunity.
Or simply an amazing mission to embark on.
But we still have to take the final steps!
And alotta times, those feelings of uncertainty…
The feeling that we’re not quite sure, or like we’re waiting for the “right” time…
All that is, is FEAR in disguise.
It’s our natural tendency to stick with what we know, even if it’s painful..
Rather than go out into the unknown.
So now let me ask you this:
If you’ve had a big decision on your mind lately, no matter what it might be…
What are you waiting for?
Again, those ‘lightning bolt’ moments of clarity aren’t coming.
And alotta times what we don’t realize…
Is that He’s already giving us the green light!
It’s just up to you to take those final steps…
And trust that He’ll be there to guide you once you get going.
You can seek all the advice and wisdom in the world — be it from the Lord, your friends, or successful mentors.
But our choices are our own in the end.
And only we can make them.
Hopefully that makes sense.
And hey, if you’ve been on the fence about joining our DSF community…
Again let me ask.. What are you waiting for!
The doors are open, and we’d love to have you.
We just need you to take those final steps and get movin’ along 🙂
Alright, that’s all for now.
I hope you have a wonderful day!
Your brother in Christ,
Cory Long
